At the 9th edition of BQFF, hosted along with our beloved partners the Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan, we screened a staggering 89 films from over 30 countries for an audience of nearly 1500 people. Like every previous year, this year’s festival was  breathless, wild, fun, strange, intense and exhilarating.

About the Bangalore Queer Film Festival.

BQFF is an annual event full of queer films from the world over, photo exhibitions, art exhibitions, performances and panel discussions. Over the years, BQFF has become an entrenched part of the cultural landscape of Bangalore. The festival serves as a space for LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) concerns to be voiced through the medium of moving image. At BQFF, we are firmly interested in both straightforward LGBT films and wildly queer and radical films.
