This February, on the 22nd, 23rd, and 24th, the Bangalore Queer Film Festival (BQFF) entered its fifth year. BQFF is an annual event full of queer films from the world over, photo exhibitions, art exhibitions, performances and panel discussions.
Over the years, BQFF has become an entrenched part of the cultural landscape of Bangalore. The festival serves as a space for LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) concerns to be voiced through the medium of moving image. At BQFF, we are firmly interested in both straightforward LGBT films and wildly queer and radical films. Find out more about BQFF
BQFF 2013 comes to a close!
This is the math: at least 900 delegates registered for the festival. Lots of people, lots of films, lots of other stuff. The Sunday night performances were practically a stampede (a warm fuzzy one, of course). The Alliance lobby was constantly buzzing with conversation, and this made some very tired organisers quite pleased!
2013: the year BQFF had parallel screenings locations and delegate bags.
